This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for plans and credits purchased on Sayrahs. Payments are processed by our providers — Paddle for international payments and Flutterwave for African payments. This policy applies in addition to any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
1. Overview
Sayrahs sells subscription plans and credits. Because access and credits are made available to you immediately, refunds are limited as described below — but we always honour the rights guaranteed to you by the law that applies where you live.
2. Plans & billing
Plans are billed per billing cycle (for example, annually). Where supported — such as through Paddle — plans renew automatically at the end of each cycle unless you cancel. Some payment methods, including certain Flutterwave options, require manual renewal instead of charging you automatically. The price and billing cycle are always shown before you confirm a purchase.
3. Cancelling your plan
You can cancel at any time from your Billing & Plan settings. Cancelling stops any future automatic renewal. Your plan remains active until the end of the period you've already paid for; after that, your account moves to the free tier rather than being suspended. Cancelling does not, by itself, trigger a refund of the current period.
4. Refunds on plans
If you believe you're entitled to a refund, contact us within [14] days of the charge. We may provide a refund for a recently purchased plan where you have not made significant use of the service — for example, where no credits have been consumed and your profile has not been actively discoverable — subject to applicable law. Where the law gives you a cancellation or "cooling-off" right, that right always applies.
5. Credits
Credits that have been used to contact candidates (for example, to send interview invitations) are non-refundable, because the service has already been delivered. Unused credits are generally non-refundable except where required by law. Credits are valid for your plan period and are not exchangeable for cash.
6. Unexpected renewals
If you were charged for a renewal you didn't intend — for example, you meant to cancel but didn't — contact us within [14] days of the renewal. Where little or no use has been made of the renewed period, we'll review your request and aim to resolve it fairly.
7. Expiry & downgrade
When a plan ends, your account is not deleted or suspended — it moves to the free tier. Job seeker profiles are hidden from search, while companies and private employers keep their account and any remaining credits. Moving to the free tier is not itself a refundable event; you can reactivate a paid plan at any time.
8. How to request a refund
Email billing@sayrahs.com with the email address on your account, the date and amount of the charge, and a short explanation. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through the relevant provider (Paddle or Flutterwave); the time to appear depends on that provider and your bank.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post the revised version with a new "Last updated" date.
